Salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ

1. All have sinned
Sin separates us from a holy and just God, and the penalty for sin is death and hell.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12 (KJB)
2. Sin must be paid for with blood
God stands for justice, and our sin must be paid in full. From the beginning, God accepted Abel's blood offering and rejected Cain's works.
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11 (KJB)
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22 (KJB)
3. Believing God exists is not enough
Many say, "I believe in God, so I'm saved." Even the devil believes in God. Salvation is full faith and trust in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23 (KJB)
4. Jesus paid it all: the gospel
Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. His blood is the payment, and we are justified by it.
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJB)
"Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." Romans 5:9 (KJB)
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" Ephesians 1:7 (KJB)
5. Salvation is a free gift, not works
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 (KJB)
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJB)
6. Jesus is the only way: believe and be born again
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12 (KJB)
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 (KJB)
"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:31 (KJB)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 (KJB)
7. Salvation is instant, eternal, and sealed
The moment you believe, you are born into God's family, and that can never be undone. The Holy Ghost seals and dwells in every believer.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life." John 6:47 (KJB)
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:28 (KJB)
"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," Ephesians 1:13 (KJB)
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:1 (KJB)
